Alright! The first week of Spooktober is behind us! We hope last week was nice to you and that you are ready for a brand new week filled with metal goodies!

So, let’s see what’s out there…

STRIGOI While already having been plenty unsettling on their debut album, Strigoi isnow following it up with a new one filled with such extremes that it produced an abundance of putridity and will be released on November 3rd! The official music video for Bathed in a Black Sun is now available right over here, and if you like what you hear you can head over here to place your pre-order for the upcoming EP!

HELFRÓ Back with their sophomore album Tálgröf, Helfró was inspired by the dark manifestation of the human mind while working on the project and now the first track´s chilling video Fláráð Fræði is available right over here! Also of course if you like what you hear you can head over here to pre-order the new album, scheduled for a release on December 1st!

CHONDRITIC SOUND In order to clear out some space on their shelves, Chondritic Sound is offering 30% off anything on their Bandcamp! Head over here to check out the selection and simply use the code MAKEROOM!

NEUROT RECORDINGS Life surely continues to be hard and they know that over at Neurot Recordings! This week they have picked the album The Dogs have Barked, the Birds have Flown by Iron Tongue for their weekly Pay What You Can segment, so make sure you head over here right now to claim your copy and simply pay what you can!

TORPOR There might be a short time on this one, however, it’s worth mentioning! Torpor is very excited to play Abscission for us in full with their shows alongside Modern Technology starting this Thursday! Should you find yourself in the UK and able to go, we encourage you to head over here right now and secure your ticket!

GRIMOIRE DE OCCULTE Evolving out of a Death Metal background, the duo of Baal and Philosoph explore more atmospheric and ritualistic tones as Grimoire de Occulte. Sinister Rituals, newly released on German label Dunkelheit Produktionen, is a 25 minute, single-track experimental Noise piece, incorporating human bones, ancient ritual instruments, bells and chants, alongside more common electronic and acoustic instruments. You can listen in full here where you can also pre-order a limited edition copy on CD.

KORGONTHURAS Finland’s Woodcut Records are previewing the forthcoming album by Black Metal act Korgonthurus with “Lankeemus” (the opening track of Jumalhaaska) available to stream here. The full album will be released on the 24th of November, but in the meantime you can enjoy the powerful combination of atmospherics and icy blasts of rage from “Lankeemus” on the link above (where you can also pre-order the album on a range of editions).

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder.

While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.

So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
