Inpathos, EP, Ascension. The EP was out worldwide on August 1, 2023.

Inpathos draws inspiration from the natural beauty that surrounds them, where evergreen forests and snow-capped peaks harmoniously coexist with the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. With a core foundation rooted in melodic death metal, the band fearlessly incorporates elements from various music genres, both within and outside the metal spectrum, to craft a truly unique sound that is unmistakably their own.

“Ascension” is a musical journey that pays homage to their beloved home, featuring three tracks dedicated to the elements that characterize its breathtaking landscapes. The first track, “Forsaken Shores,” embodies the raw power and might of the ocean. “Frostweald,” the second track, transports listeners through the mysteries of the vibrant, evergreen forests. Finally, “Ascension,” the third track, takes listeners on a transcendent climb to the majestic peaks of the Cascade Mountains.

This EP not only represents our musical exploration, but it also symbolizes the beginning of a new chapter for us,” says Inpathos. “After years of global isolation, we now embrace a new era and look forward with unwavering determination. As we ‘ascend,’ our music reflects the spirit of growth, resilience, and the beauty of our surroundings.

The tracklisting for “Ascension” is as follows:
1. Forsaken Shores
2. Frostweald
3. Ascension

Accompanying the announcement is the EP’s striking cover art, which visually captures the essence and themes embodied in the music.

Inpathos traces its humble origins to the early days when brothers Adonis (guitar) and Nabil (drums) Reed-Boulos found a sense of expression and inspiration through music, writing and playing songs together in their childhood home. Over time, they honed their skills and united with like-minded musicians. The band officially adopted the name Inpathos in 2018, and saw the addition of Anthony Nelson (guitar), Jordan Siu (vocals), and Brendan Brendible (bass) over the next few years. Together, they released their debut album, “Divinity,” marking a significant milestone in their journey as a serious musical entity.

In 2022, Inpathos bid farewell to vocalist Jordan shortly after the release of their second full-length album, and Patrick Bradford stepped in as their newest member. Now, with a complete lineup and newfound energy, Inpathos is poised to conquer new frontiers. In addition to the upcoming EP release, the band is diligently working on their third full-length album.

Stay tuned for Inpathos‘ “Ascension” EP, available worldwide on August 1, 2023, and join them as they embark on an exhilarating musical expedition that merges melodic death metal with the awe-inspiring natural wonders of their Washington State home.
