Are you ready for a fast and hard Thrash Metal attack? If your answer is “yes”, then fasten your seatbelts ‘cause Trastorned is here to break some necks. And one of them could be yours…

Trastorned is a Chilean band that was formed in 2009 and until “Into the Void”, their debut album, they only had released a few demos. It is safe to say that great things are made to wait, in this case it’s true. What an album! It’s full of speed, rage, changing tempos in the same song… They play Blackened Thrash Metal fueled by aggression and pure evil, you can notice it in their blazing riffs and some sick guitar solos (like in “Miasma of Death”, you can’t stand still while listening to this!).

This band has some hellish sound, like many bands sounded in the 80-90s, yes they recreate that obscure and obscene Thrash Metal played in those times. Vocals are raspy and wicked, special mention to the song “Into the Void”, where this guy sounds literally like a beast from Hell! In this album, tons of riffs are played one after another, you can’t say which one is the sickest, truth is that some of them are still living in my head even if I’m not listening to the music. And when it comes to the solos, some are purely stratospheric.

Of course nothing bad can be said about the bass, used with certain predominance (that opening in “Reborn Through Hate”, oohh). And drums… The drummer has that urge for speed, he’s damn fast and very accurate. And he also can show himself a bit more restrained, but only for a few seconds, ‘cause I’m sure that “Highspeed” is his surname.

Just by looking at the artwork on the cover your head will spin: it’s an oil on canvas painting and it’s crazy looking at all the details, it’s a totally sick piece of art! The artist is Marcelo Miranda, more known as Made in Darkness, and now you should be eager to check the music behind this mind blowing painting.

There’s not a weak song in this album, even the instrumental 6th track (“Dreadful Fate – Interlude”) will make you feel edgy, like embraced by some evilish forces, only by that obscure sound of guitars masterfully played. There are still two more tracks until the album ends, “Insanity” and “Reborn Through Hate”, and you’ll find out that these 30 minutes are not enough. Play it again, then! I give this album 8,5/10 Sílvia
