PYRA Last week Italian black/death metal band Pyra premiered the official music video for the track In a Thousand Different Voices via Immortal Frost Productions taken from their upcoming self-titled debut EP scheduled for a release on September 30th! HEILUNG The long- awaited new album from Heilung titled Drift has finally been released which you can get over here, and what is more is that Heilung is currently bringing the power and majesty of their live performance to North American stages and we hear tickets are selling fast! CONSUMPTION Harking back to classic death metal and grindcore, Sweden’s Consumption have released their second album Necrotic Lust on Hammerheart Records. Featuring guest vocals from Jeff Walker of Carcass, fans of gory death metal may want to give this a listen. You can check out the album in full here and purchase a copy.
VOIDTHRONE Portland, Oregon’s Total Dissonance Worship label is true to its name. The latest release to be announced by the label, Metaphysical Degradation by Voidthrone, promises to be a powerful assault of dissonant modern black metal. There’s a preview track available to listen to here where you can also pre-order a copy of the album, which will be released on the 27th of October.
THE LOOM OF TIME Presenting themselves as a mix of Immortal, Mastodon and Cathedral, extreme metal group The Loom of Time have just announced their second album Grand False Karass, due to be released on Italy’s ATMF label on the 30th of September. There are a couple of blistering preview tracks available to listen to here, where you can also pre-order the album.
CHROME GHOST Melodic doom group Chrome Ghost follow up their great 2020 album The Diving Bell with House of Falling Ash, due for release on the 28th of October on Seeing Red Records. There’s a very cool, limited edition coloured vinyl version of the album available to pre-order, which you can do here, where you can also listen to a preview track from the new album.
