#ShortOnes LXXII #UndergroundRecos

Hello there,

This week I have been focused on just two releases. Heard it, a lot of times. Very different from each other. One slow and melancholic but at the same time with a “weight” in the songs… The other, fast and chaotic… Mood and music will be always together is a very strong way…

Check my few recos…

Band: The Sombre
Title: Monuments of Grief
Label: Chaos Records
Release date: 19 August 2022
Country: Netherlands
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

When I got this promo my curiosity set the alarm on my silly brain and I thank you “curiosity”. I didn’t know anything about the band and decided to not read anything on the promo. Thought, “let me listen to it first and after that, I will read it” I did it and… Lovely. By the name, I thought that would be a Black Metal or a Funeral Doom band. Well, I was close to the second option. The band is not a Funeral Doom, I mean, not a 100% band, but a Doom Funeral Doom band. If I can say that. The album is a masterpiece, very deep, personal, felt, strong, melancholic, and so damn good. In my opinion, deserves your attention and many listens. Check it.

Band: Weregoat
Title: The Devil’s Lust
Label: Iron Bonehead Productions
Release date: 12 August 2022
Country: USA
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

Do you know that kind of band you only know by name? Then you listen to one song or two and you don’t know why you never listen to again? Well… I admit, in the past, I heard about this band many times, hear one song or two in the past and I don’t know why, never heard it again, and I remember that when the “Slave Bitch of the Black Ram Master” was out, I did enjoy the songs I heard. Well… Had to wait till I got the promo and listen to them again… Damn… I should do it a long time ago. The band is so good. The songs, the atmosphere, the devastation getting out from by cabinets, the production, the riffs, the voice. Arghhhhhhhh. So damn good. After listening to this EP, decided to listen to all the others releases. Damn, one of the best bands doing this kind of Black Death Metal. Check them.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
