#BAZUndergroundUpdates CVI
Well, unfortunately, Easter vacation is over. However, our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Osman are well-rested and of course back at it with a brand-new installment of The Underground Updates!
So, let’s see what’s out there…
KOLLAPS The third album from Australian post-industrial outfit Kollaps is a merciless and visceral assault on the senses, and last weekend the group hit Europe for the first of their unmissable 2022 tours! For the new album you can head over here to place your pre order, as well as on the bottom of the same page you can find a list of dates and places you can catch one of their shows!
VIANDE The French dark metal band Viande´s new album officially dropped last Friday, and rumour has it that the official video to the track Traitre a la Vie will give you the creeps, although in a good way! Be your own judge and check it out over here if you dare…
MNRVA Coming soon with a brand-new album Hollow, MNRVA has made a video for the title track and is now available over here at the Black Doomba Records YouTube channel!
MOSAIC The official video for Teufelsberg is now available to watch over here, and the new album Heimatspuk will be out in just a couple of days via Eisenwald.
HOLD ME DOWN On May 6th Sentient Ruin Laboratories will proudly present the debut album by American dark industrial metal deconstructors Hold me Down and fans of bands such as Godflesh, Swans, Skinny Puppy and Ministry should really keep their eyes and ears open for this one. In anticipation for the release, you can head over here for the official music video for the track STK!
NEUROT RECORDINGS As has been previously noted a few times, Neurot Recordings knows what’s up with life being hard right now, and people need music. So, they continue with their Pay What you Want campaign on a chosen album and this week’s pick is The Body & Full of Health and their album One Day You Will Ache like I Ache. Head over here to claim your copy!
ANATOMIA / UNDERGANG For anyone in the mood for some filthy, underground death metal, UK label Me Saco Un Ojo Records have just released a split LP of Anatomia / Undergang. The album is available on several formats, including different coloured vinyl options. Check them all out here and listen to the album in full.
MISTCAVERN Hungarian black metal quintet Mistcavern have just released their debut mini-album Into Twilight on Germany’s Iron Bonehead Productions. If you’re looking for some very dark, atmospheric music to transport you back to mediaeval times, this might be just the ticket for you. Listen to the album in full and pick up a digital copy here.
DARKER The haunting gothic doom of Darkher (aka Jayn Maiven) has released her latest album The Buried Storm on Prophecy Productions. The album combines folk and doom elements into a dreamlike sound, a very dark dream. Darkher will also be performing in the UK this year to promote the album. Click here to see all dates, where you can also listen to and purchase the album.
Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative. So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
