#BAZUndergroundUpdates CI

Another week just flew by! Last week our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Osman made the terrible mistake of forgetting that it was actually our 100th article of The Underground Updates so this week we celebrate it by bringing you our 101st installment!

So, let’s see what’s out there…

ZORNHEYM More tours are at hand! You can now find Zornheym´s all confirmed shows of 2022 so far so where are you planning to see them? Head over here for some band goodies and over here for a ticket to one of their shows!

WITHOUT WAVES This coming Saturday Without Waves plans to celebrate their new album Comedian out on Prosthetic Records! Available for pre-order now on their Bandcamp page the album will be available everywhere this coming Friday, March 18th, so of course a live show is in order, is it not? Should you find yourself in Chicago this coming weekend make sure you get your ticket for their Saturday show over here! Also, stay tuned for an interview with the band coming later this month.

EVERLASTING SPEW RECORDS For one week only we have an offer from Everlasting Spew Records where all the Galvanizer official merch, flags, cds, vinyls, tapes and digitals on Bandcamp are 20% off! Head over here to get your share!

SYK Just out on Housecore Records, Pyramiden is the new album by Italian prog-metal beasts Syk. You can order and listen to the album in full here. Meanwhile, keep your eyes peeled for an interview with the band coming soon.

DEATHWHITE If you like a bit of epic doom metal in the vein of Katatonia and Paradise Lost you may find your fancy tickled by Grey Everlasting, the forthcoming album by Deathwhite on Season of Mist. By the sounds of the preview track it’s going to be as dark and epic as you could ask for. Check it out here where you can also pre-order the album on various vinyl editions. Release date 6th of June.

-S- Italy’s I, Voidhanger Records are one of the most exciting names in strange underground metal. There are a few forthcoming releases well worth checking out at the label’s bandcamp page here. Perhaps the pick of the bunch is the sinister, dark, avantgarde jazz nightmare of Dom, w którym mieszkał Wąż (A House Where Dwelled A Snake) by Polish duo -S-. Check out the preview track on the link above. The album is due for release on the 22nd of April.

DEATHFUCKINGCUNT Australia’s delightfully named Deathfuckingcunt will see their latest album Decadent Perversity released on Transcending Obscurity Records on the 10th of June. Anyone familiar with the label should know to expect a ton of merch to be available to coincide with the release. So if you’re looking for some brutal death metal and you want a t-shirt, or mug or more to announce your joy to the world click here.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative. So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.

We are actually closing in fast on two years running The Underground Updates. A small idea that sprung to our minds back in the day when the pandemic was first starting to take its toll on bands around the world. Now we hope it is starting to wear off, and that we will be able to take full part in the summer activities ahead. But for now, let’s enjoy what is available to us and support those bands any way we can!

**Please support the underground! It’s vital to the future of our genre.**
