#ShortOnes XXXIX #UndergroundRecos

Hello there,

39 times me doing this article for all of us.
It’s been fun till today and still is. The pleasure of knowing new bands, new releases from bands that I already knew, and sharing it with all of you. That is one thing that is related to #SupportTheUnderground Sharing without showing. So here I’m sharing with all, some bands that I have been heard during this week.

Band: Efyd
Title: Like Shadows
Label: Metal Scrap Records
Release date: 10 December 2021
Country: Italy
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

This is the first album from this Italian band and this album has good things but one thing that in my opinion could help the band to be better accepted and “call the attention” to more persons. The songs are good, catchy, a mix of old-school Death Metal and sometimes some grindcore. What is lacks in my opinion is more “power” in the guitar. Could be a bit more “heavy”. Besides that. Good album and this band should be listened to and supported. Check them.

Band: Gorr
Title: Tolv i talet
Label: Independent
Release date: 101 December 2021
Country: Norway / USA
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

After a previous album that in my opinion was really good, the band attack us again with an EP. Just 5 songs but so damn good. The style of the band is almost the same. Yes, they added some Death Metal or Doom touches here and there. But the quality of the songs is good, even if the previous release was already good. And I love the traditional instrument in the first song, and after a bit of research of found the name “neverlur”. Check the band if you don’t know them.

Band: Rope Sect
Title: Proskynesis
Label: Iron Bonehead Productions
Release date: 10 December 2021
Country: Denmark
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

Well, to start if you related the band to the label cause you are used to seeing some bands playing style A or style B, then you will be surprised. Rope Sect is not related to the label “style”, even if the label already released some albums, eps not common in the label’s roster. What I have here to show you, is nothing more than Death Rock or some Goth Rock (I’m divided between these two styles) full of melancholia. It doesn’t matter, to be honest. This is good. Check them.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
