#BAZUndergroundUpdates LXXXVII

Isn’t it wonderful that December is just around the corner? The holiday season is almost upon us and our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Boatman are certain that once the holidays come around there will be even more offers and shows upon us to enjoy. But for now…

….let’s see what’s out there!

DARKEST MIND Last week the Belgian Melodic black metal group Darkest Mind released the official music video for the title track Oracle of Death from their upcoming debut full length album, scheduled for a release on December 10th via Immortal Frost Productions. Head over here to check out the fabulous video and of course over here to place your order!

ECCLESIA The official music video to Ecclesia´s Vatican III track was released just last week, and if you haven’t seen it yet we urge you to head over here to give it a go, and straight after over here in order to check out their merch, music and streams!

NIHILISTIC HOLOCAUST RECORDS Offering us a very special deal, Nihilistic Holocaust Records has a 3 tapes bundle

FLESH OF THE STARS As of last Wednesday, a code became available for Flesh of the Stars´ remaining merch for the holidays, and all you must do is head over here to check out what’s available, and use the code Trustandpennance to get 20% off anything for sale on the Bandcamp page for the rest of the year! All orders will come with a pin until they are all out of them, and with each other comes a download of the Mirror/Vessels EP! Not a bad offer eh?

WOLVES OF HADES RECORDS Despite this year having fewer releases than planned, Wolves of Hades is thrilled to announce that as a final blow before slumbering this December they are doing a Black Friday sale that actually lasts for a week! A 20% discount off with the code FVKK2021 is not bad at all, is it? Head over here to check it out and have quick hands before the week is out!

ARCHGOAT I’d never heard the term bestial war metal coined prior to checking out the latest release on Debemur Morti Productions, but listening now to Worship the Eternal Darkness, the newly released album by Finland’s Archgoat, the label makes perfect sense. There are formats galore you can order here, including limited vinyl and print on demand t-shirts. If you’re looking for some hellish black metal to summon demons from the depths of hell, this release might do the trick.

GODHEAD MACHINERY Sticking to the black metal genre, a little more slick and sleek, but no less dark and raging, comes Monotheistic Enslavement by Sweden’s Godhead Machinery. For those unfamiliar with the band, the album title alone should give an idea of the lyrical concerns contained within. You can listen to the album in full here and order a copy on vinyl from Black Lion Records.

BENOTHING Hankering after some twisted, atmospheric, but very much still bludgeoning death metal? Then give your ears a scrub with Temporal Bliss Surrealms, the debut album by Finland’s Benothing, out now on Everlasting Spew Records. You can listen to the album in full here and pick up a copy on CD or cassette.

ARÐ Drawing from local mythology, Northumbria’s solo, doom metal project Arð will see it’s debut record, Take Up My Bones, released on Prophecy Productions on February 18th of 2022. For the time being there’s a great preview track of the album you can listen to here and if that suitably whets your appetite, you can pre-order the album on CD and two vinyl variants.

SONOFSETH Something very dark and sinister is billowing like smoke over the horizon and it comes in the form of De Dor a Odio, the forthcoming album by Danish experimental black metal project Son of Seth. The album is due out February 11th on Trepanation Recordings, and in the meantime you can listen to a preview track here and pre-order the album on CD and cassette.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative. So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.

Well, it looks like another busy week filled with merch, offers and entertainment, doesn’t it? We do anticipate that things will become even more bonkers from now on as the holidays roll around, but that is a matter for another installment. Until then, keep those clean horns high!
