#ShortOnes XXVIII #UndergroundRecos
Hello there,
This week was not a good one. Not so many times for myself and listen to some (more) music in peace. Always running, but still… I managed to get some time and listen to some good releases. I choose these ones and I really hope you can enjoy them.
Band: Exsul
Title: Allegoresis
Label: Caligari Records
Release date: 22 October 2021
Country: USA
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
And they are back with the second EP. Yummy. Very good Old School rotten Death Metal. Did I love the first release and this one? Oh yeah. This band managed to bring back the old school Death Metal style is such good quality. If you didn’t grab the previous one, try to grab it and of course grab this one too.
Band: Illyrian
Title: Aegis
Label: Independent
Release date: 15 October 2021
Country: Canada
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
The third release for this Canadian band. A good surprise even if is not my favorite metal style. I didn’t know anything about them but after reading a bit before starting to write some words here and listening to them, I found they are a Thrash Metal band… Well… Hmmm… Not the kind of “traditional” Thrash Metal band. They have some Death Metal influences and mainly a lot of melodies. If you are a fan of Swedish melodic Thrash Metal bands, like Terror 2000, Carnal Forge, Darkane, The Defaced… Well, you will love this band. (I leave you the music from the previous release cause till now, nothing available from the new release)
Band: Lys
Title: Silent Woods
Label: Avantgarde Music
Release date: 29 October 2021
Country: Italy
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
If you don’t know this band you should. Very good Atmospheric Black Metal. Lys is the frontman from Enisum, that with Silent Woods release the first solo album. And… So damn good. You can’t deny some Enisum touch here and there but at the same time can be a different band. I love the riffs changes, the voice, the melody in the songs. This is a MUST album for all Atmospheric Black Metal lovers.
Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
