#BAZUndergroundUpdates LXXII

4 min read

Well, it looks like the roman numerals are getting away from our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Boatman, as the last two Underground Updates were numbered LXX…whoopsie! How embarrassing! Well, let us make up for it now with a brand new number LXXII of our weekly update!

So, let’s see what’s out there…

WALLOWING The new track from Sludge/Noise merchants Wallowing titled Orbital Detritus is now available to stream via The Sleeping Shaman. The track is taken from their upcoming 4-way split with Slabdragger, Thin and Vixen Maw.

DAEMONICUS With a new release coming up this Friday via Black Lion Records, Swedish death metal troops Daemonicus dropped the track Fate sealed by Faith at midnight last night and you can head over here to enjoy!

LOUD RAGE MUSIC For an August Thank You offer, Loud Rage Music presented a Katharos XIII month, which included 100 free download codes for the two excellent Katharos XIII albums released by Loud Rage Music; Negativity from 2017 and Palindrome from 2019. However, by now we fear that all the codes might be gone and in case they are, you can still take soma advantage because in addition to that they are also offering a 25% discount of the CD bundle versions of the albums, which you can get by heading over here and use the code katharosxiii.

DUNKELHEIT PRODUKTIONEN In case you weren´t aware, Dunkelheit Produktionen is having a handsome campaign that started on the 11th of August and is valid until the 21st. The campaign offers a 10% discount, and all you have to do is remember the code august.

On a further note: Dunkelheit Produktionen is celebrating 14 years of existence and therefore have decided to give no less than a 35% whooping discount on everything! Head over here to the label’s webstore to see the goodies!

PRAY U PREY Got an itch for some Crust Punk/ Death Metal? Poland’s Selfmadegod Records have got you covered with the second album by the UK’s Pray U Prey, titled The Omega Kill. Head over to bandcamp to check it out.

SLUDGELORD RECORDS Those fine people at Sludgelord Records have got a wee offer at the moment: a 4 CD grab bag for £20. Check out what’s available here and while you’re at it have a look at the various cool merch they’ve got there.

GAMA BOMB Heavy, old school, Irish Thrash Metal? That’s what Gama Bomb are dropping with their cheeky little Thunder Over London release. Give it a listen here.

CHARNEL GROUNDS If you’re going to call your album Molecular Entropy Examined In The Bowels Of A Great One it better be a fucking paint-stripping auditory assault. Fortunately that’s what Charnel Grounds have delivered with this, their new release. Head over here at Sewer Rot Records to check out this prime cut of Death Metal madness.

HEADS FOR THE DEAD With two most excellent pummelling, horror inspired Death Metal albums under their belts, Heads for the Dead are already working on their next full-length release. In the meantime the band have announced the release of a new EP Slash ‘n’ Roll on Transcending Obscurity. Featuring re-imaginings of 3 horror movies themes (as well as Misfits and Ramones covers). You can listen to two preview tracks here, where you can also check out all the crazy merch to go along with the release.

REMAH When it comes to Italy’s Avantgarde Music you can be sure that no release will ever be so easily classifiable and so it is with Une Main the debut release by Black Metal project Remah. Yes it’s Black Metal, but there’s Darkwave and Psychedelic Rock influences in here too. Check out the release here where you can also pre-order the album on CD and vinyl.

AOP RECORDS Those fine people at Germany’s AOP Records have added some swanky new t-shirts and long sleeve shirts to their merch store on bandcamp. Head over here to check them out.

SUN O)) have just announced that they’ve partnered up with Evil Greed to be the new official store for all their EU/UK merch. So, there isn’t much else to say other than if you want to get yourself decked out in some Sun O)) finery, you can do that here.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative. So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.

Well, we do hope we have managed to make up for the embarrassing error with the roman numerals, but in our defence we have been doing the rounds with this article for such a long time now that we were bound to slip up eventually! We also hope you will enjoy what this week has to offer, we know we will, and be sure to renew your stash of satanizer!
