#ShortOnes XIII #UndergroundRecos
And here i’m again. This time the last Saturday of this month. Next month summer will arrive and… Well, I want to say that Summer Festivals will start, but… I don’t know. Future will tell cause of the world restrictions.
Till then… Well, let us enjoy the albums that are being released and listen to them.
For this week I bring to you the following choices and I hope you enjoy it as much I did.
Band: Djevel
Title: Tanker som rir natten
Label: Aftermath Music
Release date: 14 May 2021
Country: Norway
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
Norway was in the past one of the black metal reference country but started to loose that meaning till a few years ago, when some bands from there starting to release again very good albums. Djevel is one of those bands and to be honest… This album is amazing. I had to stop listening to cause I wanted to listen to more releases/bands. If wasn’t for that… This album will be playing over and over. So damn good. There is nothing “bad” with this album. MASTERPIECE
Band: Ossaert
Title: Pelgrimsoord
Label: Argento Records
Release date: 04 June 2021
Country: Netherlands
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
After the really good album “Bedehuis” album, released last year, Ossaert is back with a new album, and in my sincere opinion is an amazing one. P. the only person behind this band, made an amazing album with very well-composed songs, with a lot of good moments. The changes in vocals, tempo, the killer icy riffs but yet melodic are very very good. This album must be listened to. You will not regret and you will love it for sure.
Band: Inferno
Title: Paradeigma (Phosphenes of Aphotic Eternity)
Label: Debemur Morti Productions
Release date: 07 May 2021
Country: Czechia
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
When I got this promo I immeadiately thought “Oh yeah, new Inferno album”. I lost the contact with them around 2008 when the band released the split “Through the Shadow of Deadly Sparks” and after that saw (info) about some compilations, splits and also albums but… I have to be honest, never listen to. I need to go back and listen to. And now… WOW… This is really Inferno? The same band? I admit that when I saw they released one album via World Terror Committee they would probably sound different of what they were, but… Damn… Even if I love everything theu released in the past, this album is blow your ears. You must listen to this album. A MASTERPIECE.
Band: Gnosis
Title: Omens from the Dead Realm
Label: Godz ov War Productions (CD)
Release date: 14 June 2021
Country: USA
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
To start… I will not comment on how many bands I know with Gnosis name or just Gnosis. But, this one, was completely new to me. Yep, that is true. “Omens from the Dead Realm” is already the third album and… Like I was expecting a Black Death Metal band but… A very good one. Not a copy + paste band like many out there. It’s very well done, it’s obscure, it’s sick, some technical details, traditional, and the sound (production) is different from the majority. That, in my opinion, is a very positive thing to make this band a “Kvlt” one. I did enjoy listening to this album and I really advise it. Check them.
Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
