To start, I have to say this. I love the name of the band. Avskräde means garbage. This is related to humans? To anything else? Well, in my opinion, is to humans, since I got the pack (t-shirt + demo CD) and inside the CD slip is one razor for exterminating the human race. Love it.
This young Swedish black metal duo does magic. Yep. A very good release of very well played, old fashion, icy, hatred, and cruel Black Metal.
This demo is divided into 4 songs, 4 amazing songs in a total of 13m12s.
Yes, it’s very few, so this demo was been in repeat, many times to be honest. Not complaining at all.
I found some similarities with other bands especially the timbre of the vocalist, the construction of the songs is nothing from the other world, to be honest, it is very simple in fact, but the riffs used and the sound of the guitar and drums… Do everything and the voice on it? Congratulations.
Avskräde is not doing anything that was not already been done, the big difference comparing Avskräde with other bands, is only one. They are doing correctly, no copy + paste, no following leaders, just playing Black Metal with attitude and feeling.
At least is what I felt while listening to the demo.
To be honest, when I heard the first time the demo (digital at that time) I was “wow, this is so damn good”. I must have this. But no physical release that time. After a few days the cd demo (CDR, and even if I hate this format I bought it) and t-shirt available, I bought it. The reason is very simple.
Good Black Metal, good band, very good songs. I decided to support them. And you should do or at least listen to this very good demo. My words are possibly not the best ones to describe the band and the music, but my feelings while listening to the band can, sorry you can’t see it. For me… It is a… 9/10 The Key Keeper 666
9/10 Epic Storm
