One quickly gets the picture as the faceless heard walk the narrow path between dying and simply not living. All while in a sea of social media white noise leading them to what seems to be their ultimate demise. And that’s just the amazing Cover Art! Objector has churned out what may be one of the more consequential Thrash releases since perhaps 2008s “Feed the Beast” even if they don’t realize it yet! “Social Intolerance” certain to warrant consideration for 2018 Metal Album of the Year along the way. Objector sound the Thrash “Alarm” as “Life Denied” the intense “My Mind Insane” the apocalyptic “Social Intolerance” and the album closing highlight “Vengeance (Will Be Mine) abuse all the senses with their relentless delivery throughout. Focusing on social injustice and a broken society much like their predecessors, the timing as relevant today as it was in the 80’s. There is a tendency to judge newer Thrash albums based on the lack of originality, which is a mistake when the result is this fucking good! Taking rhyme and riff to task (So Slayeresque) with their sophomore effort. The future of Thrash may have uncovered a potential torch bearer here in the ruins of “Social Injustice”. Where bands like Bonded by Blood missed real opportunity, Objector clearly hits the mark. Let’s see if they can build off this achievement. So if you are looking for your Thrash well done, served up with a recipe that includes two parts late 80’s formula speed, power and vocals (Again think Slayer, as its all over this record), but delivered with a raw yet modern production (Similar to last years debut album from Terrifier)? Then I can’t recommend “Social Intolerance” enough! Thrashtastic to the Core… 9/10 MoMetalTrax
